We are delighted to announce that author, Josh Lacey will be visiting Dorrington Academy on Wednesday 11th
March 2026.

Josh is the author of over 40 books. His best-selling Dragonsitter books were shortlisted for the Roald
Dahl Funny Prize and have sold over a million copies in the UK alone. Josh will be delivering fun workshops and talks
to the year groups. He will be reading his picture book ‘My Pet Potato’ to Reception and Year 1 classes.

to the school in time for the author visit, free of charge.

Please note the deadline to order books through VIP Reading is Friday 27th February. No further orders will be taken
after this date. Unfortunately, we will not be able to accept cash at the school office. You are welcome to buy Josh’s
books from other sources/bring any of his books you have at home. A selection of Josh’s books will be available to
