Aston League 2:

3rd October

Dorrington Academy 1 - 2 Welford

A hard fought loss for Dorrington. A slow start saw the team go behind early on and the boys struggled to pick themselves up. We grew into the game, however, and began to attack Welford well. Reece Young introduced himself to the game and showed incredible pace and tackling to get us moving forward. This ultimately led to our demise as we were caught on the counter attack and Welford went into a 2-0 lead. A late goal for Sebastian Deans gave Dorrington hope, and we pressed hard in the last two minutes with Samir Qaderi coming close to an equaliser. A good first game for the team though!

Prince Albert 3 - 2 Dorrington

Another unfortunate defeat for Dorrington. Prince Albert started strongly and Dorrington were left to rue another slow start, falling to a 2-0 deficit early on. Sebastian Deans came up trumps for Dorrington again though and his double left the scores at 2-2 with 3 minutes to go. Unfortunately, Dorrington were again caught on the counter attack whilst giving their all and succombed to a 3-2 defeat. Unlucky boys!

10th October

Dorrington Academy 0 - 4 Sacred Heart

A promising start for Dorrington against a very strong Sacred Heart team as we had a couple of early chances to take the lead. Sacred Heart came back strongly though and scored 2 quick goals. Dorrington had no reply and Sacred heart soon scored a third. The introduction of Huzaifa Azm at centre back helped strengthen the defence and Sacred Heart struggled to break Dorrington down again. They did however steal a late goal to make the final score 4-0.

19th October

Dorrington Academy 5 - 0 Heathfield

A wonderful performance from the Dorrington boys was rounded off with an excellent 5-0 victory! Dorrington started brightly and Sebastian Deans opened the scoring early on. Heathfield fought back but some good saves from Aryan Sohna kept the score at 1-0. Sebastian Deans then broke free again to make the score 2-0. Dorrington then ran riot with Samir Qaderi and Reece Young grabbing themselves a goal each to make the score 4-0. Sebastian Deans then rounded the game off nicely by completing his hat-trick late on.

St Marys 9 - 4 Dorrington Academy

It's not often in football you score 4 goals and lose a game, but that unfortunate predicament struck Dorrington in their second game of the night. St Marys started very strongly and were 2-0 up in no time at all after Dorrington's disorganisation at the back cost them. We grew slowly back into the game, however, as Adams Babskazeem rounded off a good passing move between himself and Sebastian Deans with a goal. Dorrington unfortunately went on to concede a further 2 goals and with the score at 4-1 they looked out of the game. Then Sebastian Deans stepped up and again brought Dorrington back into the game. 2 more goals for St Marys put the game out of sight for Dorrington. Goals from Sebastian Deans and Reece Young put Dorrington back in with a chance at 6-4 but the boys looked tired and a final onslaught in the last 5 minutes saw 3 St Marys goals put the game to bed at 9-4.
